2024 SAFTAs: Here are your soapie and telenovela winners

‘Outlaws’ scooped eight awards while ‘Skeem Saam’ received four awards at this year’s Saftas (South African Film and Television Awards).

The River received two awards, while Skeem Saam won four and Outlaws received eight Saftas in this year’s Telenovela and Soap categories.

The nominees for the 18th ceremony was announced on Thursday, 05 September.

ABOUT THE SAFTAS

The awards serve to encourage entrepreneurship and the development of new talent within the industry and each award recipient is presented with the ‘Golden Horn’ trophy.

The ‘Golden Horn’ has three heads symbolising collective effort, community, and the recognition of the individual as part of a team – an experience inherent to the film and television industry where collaboration is the cornerstone of successful productions.
