AKA’s family asks Mzansi to pray for him
The family of slain rapper AKA has asked for prayers from South Africans during this difficult moment.
AKA was gunned down outside a Durban restaurant and his death has caught many South Africans by shock.
In a statement that was released by his mother and father, they called upon the nation to keep them in their prayers.
“We thank you for the love and support we have received thus far, and ask you continue to keep us in your prayers and uplifted in the Lord,” they said.

They described their son as a loving person who gave love and was loved in return.
KwaZulu-Natal police spokesperson, Colonel Robert Netshiunda, said police are investigating two counts of murder.
Meanwhile, numerous South Africans from all walks of life have been sending their condolence messages.
The award winning rapper was aged 35 at the time of his death and he is considered as one of the pioneers of South Africa’s top hop music scene.
