Frequently referred to as Penny Lebyane, Penny Matshidiso Lebyane is a South African radio DJ, media figure, and former TV judge. She gained the majority of her notoriety as a DJ for Metro FM. Most people also recall her from M-Net’s Idols SA competition, particularly from its inaugural season in 2002. In 2007, Lebyane co-hosted the 8th Annual Metro FM Music Awards. In 2010, she further joined SABC1 to co-host the Motswako Lifestyle program. She has hosted a number of other programs, including “Sunrise” on e.tv in 2014.

Penny Lebyane, who has worked in the media for almost two decades, is recognized as having equal standing with DJ Fresh, another veteran. She has not only dominated the radio landscape but has also made a name for herself as one of the most recognizable faces and voices on television, serving in a variety of roles including show anchor, TV judge, co-host, and more.
Penny recently rocked a two piece see through number in support of Keke Palmer but that quickly backfired when people claim she is too old for such.
