A clerk and a boss have been gathered to show up in the Mthatha Magistrates Court toward the month’s end for supposed misrepresentation at an Eastern Cape supermarket.

“The team supposedly controlled the chain store framework by preparing bogus discounts to draw money from the tellers, taking cash for their own utilization between October 2016 to March 2017,” said police representative Lwando Zenzile in an announcement on Saturday.

The supposed misrepresentation was gotten by the business and an instance of extortion and robbery was opened with the police in Mthatha.

Zenzile said starter examinations uncovered that the store – which has not been named – lost more than R440,000 over the said period.

Police didn’t preclude the chance of more captures.

The captured suspects, matured 34 and 33, were required to show up in court on 29 September.
