As an artist is very much important to have a manager to handle so many things that would you as an artist, cannot handle alone. Some record companies also prefer signing artists that have mangers. Artist managers shape the careers of their clients in a day-to-day and long-term sense.

They often help clients book gigs, plan album projects, arrange record releases and tours, develop marketing and sales strategies, get paid for their work, and establish and pursue long-term career goals. Having a manager is not always a good idea because you are prown to exploitation.

One of Mzansi’s famous DJ recently shared a heartbreaking situation between herself and her Manger. She mentioned in her latest post that: My manager is telling people I’m unavailable for bookings. He says he doesn’t work on weekends and doesn’t pay me on time”. The rest of her statement can be read below.
