But fans of Themba Mabaso who call themselves the Ghost Nation are maintaining their loyalty and love for this former Big Brother contestant by showering him with gifts and recently opening a virtual wallet account accepting donations of up to 2 Million rands from the public since he did not win the 2 Million prize from the competition show.

The hashtag #OurBelovedThemba started trending on Twitter as fans and followers of the reality tv star shared their gifts with him. In a video circulating Twitter, The Ghost is seen accepting champagne bottles, luxury designer items, snacks, all the way to a new iPhone simply for being himself in the Big Brother house.

The very same fans of Themba have since started a Go Fund Me account dedicated to helping the Ghost kick start his career and business. The official announcement was made on the 30 year old’s Instagram account on Monday with the account currently sitting at over 90 thousand rands.

“As requested by Ghostnation, we opened a go fund me account for Themba. It’s in his name so his identity document and personal banking details will be needed to withdraw the funds. PayPal account will be linked to the go fund me soon.” the statement read.

He told Tshisa Live in an interview that he didn’t intend for this to happen, but accepts it as a blessing now that it is happening nonetheless. “At first, I was not aware that it was happening when I didn’t have my phone, but now I know that it’s happening and who is running the page for me so people can send money there. I didn’t want to involve myself in asking for money from people because they had already given me love but they are doing it out of their hearts. I was not prepared for this kind of hype,” said the tattoo artist.

He also mentioned in the interview that he joined the Big Brother competition show to help in granting him a foot in the entertainment industry as a musician. He‘d been struggling to make a name for himself in the music scene and has put out some songs that never took off but he is too optimistic to give up yet.

The Ghost added that he’s ventured into business as a tattoo artist who built his own tattoo parlor that sadly burnt down before he entered the Big Brother house. Despite all the adversities, his dreams are still alive. He wants to continue pursuing music, build another tattoo parlor and get his feet in the arts.

“I’m going to continue doing art, the tattoo shop where I’m operating, and hope to build a bigger shop, while modeling, and releasing music. I’m all about art, so everything that has to do with art I’m going to do.”
