In the now-viral video shared by @amandatamia7, the former minister was seen in the queue before making an order.

However, he turned back at some point and seemingly noticed that he was being recorded before continuing his business.

Little is known about when the video was taken, but the video was first shared on TikTok on 28 November. Against the now-viral video, fans quickly flooded social media with their two cents.

However, one user took to the comments section to reveal that she was standing next to Bheki Cele as he ordered.

The user commented, “Lapho I was standing next to him joooh ay eDurban asinendaba nomuntu.”

However, other users were quick to poke fun at the former minister, known for implementing several punitive measures during his term in office, including enforcing strict lockdown regulations.

Another user commented, “Ask him if he is sorry about what he did to us during lockdown.”

“No more bodyguards. You are on your own, so check left, right, centre,” another commented as he poked fun at the former Police Minister.

This is not the first time the former minister has been spotted publicly without security details.

During his term in office, Bheki Cele was once spotted at an Engen Garage driving a white BMW X5 without security details.

FORMER POLICE MINISTER UNFAZED BY RECENT THREATS

Earlier this month, the former minister made headlines when he revealed that he was receiving threats. Bheki Cele also made it known that there was a break-in at his house.

Speaking to the media, former Police Minister Bheki Cele said he remains unfazed by the mounting threats and a recent break-in at his Durban home.

In a candid interview on SABC’s Face of the Nation, Bheki Cele boldly declared, “I’m scared of nobody and nothing.”

Since leaving the government, the former minister has faced multiple threats, including suspicious vehicles trailing him. The former minister noted that he reported the incidents to the police.

“I have reported it to the police. I have seen the cars following me, and I’ve reported it to the KwaZulu-Natal provincial commissioner,” Bheki Cele shared.
