TT Mbha is a former reality star, property entrepreneur, father of two to TJ and Tumi, and husband to his wife Esperanca Mbha. Since the years that he was widely introduced to us as a cast member on the earlier seasons of Living The Dream with Somizi, Mbha has paved his own unique brand. Now he is more than just a reality star or one of the leading black property entrepreneurs, but he is also a leading social activist with today marking the “official” launch of his latest cause, the Caddy Golf Day.

In an exclusive with ZAlebs, TT Mbha let us in on a few details of his life right now and plans for the future.

Most of the public that is familiar with TT Mbha, were introduced to him as one of Somizi Mhlongo’s best friends and main supporting cast during the earlier seasons of the hit reality show Living The Dream with Somizi. Although, by the time that TT was on the reality show, he had already dipped his toes in television before as a presenter with his most notable gig being on SABC 1’s Selimathunzi.

However, given the drama which ensued recently with his alleged former friend, TT Mbha did hang his reality star hat according to the property entrepreneur explaining the chances of his return to the format by saying, “Uhm, not necessarily. But I am creating my own reality shows. I mean, I have my own makeover reality show on Mzansi Magic, where I fix people’s homes.”

Mzansi Cribs Makeover is the show in question, which is currently in pre-production of its third season, which has seen the show expand outside of Gauteng to include Mpumalanga and North West.

On Tuesday, 6 September 2022, TT Mbha is set to officially launch his second annual Caddy Golf Day. But this would mark the first actual tournament which will see caddies from townships all around Gauteng compete for the cup of Best Caddy, along with the ultimate prize of caddying at the Nedbank Golf Day Pro-Am amongst other prizes.

The initiative was meant to officially launch in 2021, but due to the electricity protests at the time, the launch was delayed as guests were sent home. Speaking on the intention of the initiative, TT stated, “[It is] dedicated to bringing dignity back to these caddies.”

The past two years were hard, but they were also harder on others than on some. TT Mbha is one who can attest to how difficult the last year was as his brand was threatened in light of the still-unfolding drama between former friend Somizi Mhlongo and ex-husband Mohale Motaung. A year that TT reflects on by sharing in part what he learned saying, “Family comes first, no matter what, you know.
