South African DJ and podcaster Gogo Skhotheni is trending after her photos with President Cyril Ramaphosa made rounds.

The photos were taken from the recent African National Congress (ANC) endorsement ceremony at the Sandton Convention Centre.

No doubt the photos have since gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped on the internet. However, the party had its final push in its bid to remain in power at the elections rally on Saturday at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.

Taking to Instagram, she posted, “Make the right choice.” Gogo Skhotheni also shared photos with some ANC bigwigs, including Fikile Mbalula.

The star was one of the officials who gave their endorsement speeches. Other big names who gave endorsement speeches include billionaire Vivian Reddy, business leader Smangele Nkosi, and goalscorer Mark Maponyane.

Celebrated billionaire Vivian Reddy said, “For those that don’t know me, I’m not Visvin Reddy of the MK Party. I am Vivian Reddy…”

He added, “I have very influential friends who have created their own political parties; that’s their democratic right, and I respect that, and they will still be my friends like so many other leaders of opposition parties, but I do not have blind loyalty.”

However, Gogo Skhotheni joins a host of celebrities who have openly endorsed their political parties ahead of the elections.

Music executive Nota Baloyi made it known that he was voting Umkhonto Wesizwe Party. Nota Baloyi said, “I’m voting MK ’cause I’m not stupid.”

Nota Baloyi posted on X, formerly Twitter, “Under President Zuma, if we didn’t like a minister, he got fired… People protested, and things would happen. We were free to express our displeasure. The only party that’ll hurt the ANC is MK.”

However, other stars who have endorsed their political parties include Zulu Boy and Felix Hlophe. According to TimesLive, Hlope is ready to vote for the MK Party in the upcoming elections slated for the end of the month. Famous comedian and host Felix Hlope reportedly supports the MK Party.

Influencer and community activist Tshepo Pitso recently joined the MK Party. In a video shared by the party, he encouraged youths to vote for the MK Party.

Despite not openly confirming his membership in the party, Papa Penny is reportedly one of the celebrities who have been closely associated with it ahead of the elections. Celebrated actor Zulu Boy is an MK member and a member of the MK’s creative council.
