Gomora Mzansi had been hinting that actress Ama Qamata might be leaving the show, which was a reality many of the telenovela’s fans didn’t want to face. However, following last night’s episode, it appears the is parting ways with the drama. On the show, her character Buhle is changing schools and said her goodbyes.

After closely monitoring her timelines it appears she’s gone permanently. The actress didn’t dismiss anyone who said farewell and wished her all the simplest for her future. If her character won’t be returning then she definitely leaves big shoes to fill.

Ama recently bagged her very first international nod. The series placed the breakout star of 2020 during a higher ranking. aside from being recognized reception, Brazil has also given your girl the thumbs up.

Ama Qamata has been nominated for the ‘Revelation Actress Of The Year’ award at the Series Brazil Awards. The Gomora actress announced this on her Instagram Stories, expressing her excitement.

The series was shot in Cape Town and it boasts a star-studded cast that incorporates the likes of Ama Qamata, Khosi Ngema, Gail Mabalane, Thabang Molaba, and Cindy Mahlangu. The international hit streaming teen series tells the story of Puleng Khumalo, who is investigating the case of her older sister Fikile Beale, who was abducted at birth. Puleng’s gut feeling leads her to follow her heart so she gets herself transferred to an equivalent school as her probe is well underway.

Speaking to ZAlebs about landing the role of Puleng she said “I was obviously very excited because the audition process was quite long. Initially, I sent a self-tape because I could not physically attend the audition and that they wanted to ascertain my face to face for my call-backs. I flew myself right down to Johannesburg to try to to the callbacks and that I begged my mom and that I was like I actually need to do that.

“The second time they flew me to Cape Town and that I had to check chemistries with different characters and that they were like we actually such as you and, we might wish to offer you the role of Puleng and clearly I used to be very excited because I have been praying for a chance like this,” she said.

The rising star has made a couple of appearances in numerous TV shows including My Perfect Family, Muvhango, and Rythm City. The petite actress currently portrays the role of Buhle on Mzansi Magic’s hit Telenovela Gomora.
