This is not the primary character to return from the dead. Former main character Jerry Maake played by Shona Ferguson was also killed but rose from the dead. As how of exiting the show permanently, he got killed off again.

SK Khoza who plays Shaka Khoza also had a dramatic exit from the show. He got killed then buried by his relations Kagiso Khoza and Dingaan. His exit gave fans palpitations and emotions ran high to the purpose where a petition was begun to bring him back.

The petition worked because it was announced months later that he would be returning. The fans were livid especially by his ‘weak’ departure which wasn’t seen fit the character he played.

This is a soap, it’s a Telenovela…characters come and go, that’s how soap operates. it’s for story and sometimes to introduce another story, but characters come and go. this is often not something exclusive to The Queen…It happens everywhere and it happens whenever ,” Connie responded
