Quinton popped the big question to Minnie back in 2016, just before Christmas. She shared the news with her followers, also revealing that he was her partner. Opening up about the engagement to real Goboza, Mrs Jones said that she thought it was just a prank at the time.

“I was a bit shocked for a while, I could not believe it. He has this tendency, every time he buys me jewellery, he goes on one knee and asks me to marry him, so I thought it was a joke, but it wasn’t, he was serious, I started crying and eventually said yes,” shared Minnie.

The couple held their traditional wedding in KZN in July 2017 on this day. Some of Minnie’s friends in the industry including Basetsana Khumalo, Anele Mdoda and Jessica Nkosi were in attendance. They celebrated their white wedding in September of that year at the Lourensford Wine Estate in Somerset West, Cape Town which reportedly cost a million rands. The ceremony and events leading up to their big day were filmed for a television special.

Minnie wedding ring was designed by Jenna Clifford. It was reported that the ring was stolen in 2018 while Minnie was waiting at a robot with Quinton. Luckily her ring was insured. Her wedding dress was made by renowned South African designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee.

The couple welcomed their baby boy in 2020. Their pregnancy reveal was arguably the biggest ever in the South African industry. Wearing a beautiful designed traditional dress, Minnie announced to her millions of fans that she was expecting a bundle of joy. It was Quinton’s birthday

“Starting a family with you Mr Jones is a dream come true and I couldn’t have chosen a better man to be the father of our child. Our family has suffered such a painful loss however, God has proven to us that with death, comes new life and we welcome this miracle wholeheartedly. Happy Birthday, my love, we’re having a baby.” Shared an excited Minnie.

Whilst everyone went around in circles trying to guess the gender of the unborn baby. Minnie had revealed it a long time ago, it was just hidden in her stunning dress.

“In the attempt to pay respect to my culture, I did some research on how a Zulu pregnant woman looked like back in the day. Our culture is so rich with amazing clothing, patterns, colours and designs, all of which have symbolic meaning. For example, the hat a woman wears symbolizes that she is a married woman. The clothes she wears symbolizes whether she is a girl, a woman, a wife, or a mother to be. The patterns on a maternity apron determine many things, among which is the sex of the baby,” said the sports presenter in part.
