He is older: Get to know Actor Bohlokwa Mpiti

Bohlokwa Mpiti rose to prominence after playing Zak in Rhythm City. His character was that of a youngster who was abandoned by his mother at infancy. After discovering his mother’s identity, he travels to the city to visit her and search for his father. It turns out that his mother, Ziyanda, is first hesitant to tell him who his father is.

However, Ziyanda’s secret comes out when Zak falls in love with his half-sister. After that, Ziyanda has no choice but to tell them they cannot be intimate because they are related. Bohlokwa didn’t know what he wanted to be as he grew up in the community. He told the Daily Sun (a South African newspaper) that when he was in grade 8, they had a career day and everyone had to select what they wanted to be, but he didn’t know what his ideal profession was yet.

“I didn’t know what I wanted to be, but I’m a strong believer in God, so I prayed. I asked Him to show me what I was supposed to be.” he said. He added again by saying, “I took drama as one of my subjects in grade 10, and I’ve been acting since then.”

Bohlokwa did drama in high school from the tenth grade until matric. After that he enrolled to study arts which involved directing and writing at AFDA Academy. In 2017 he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Live Performance.

Bohlokwa is a rising actor in the entertainment industry, born on 29 April 1996. This makes the actor 27 years old. He made it look like he was younger in his role because of his young-looking face. Many of his fans are shocked by his age as they believe that he is the 20year old he portrayed. Mpiti might have played a teenager and gotten away with it if he wanted.

When Rhythm City was canceled, the actor, like the rest of the cast, was out of job. However, opportunities arose for him, and he landed his first main part in a Showmax film.

He had a brief role in Bone of My Bones before joining Rhythm City, portraying Clevy. He is also a stage actor, having appeared in Bomb Productions’ 2017 play Umsolwa.
