Lira celebrated her two years after the stroke hit her, showing a video of running in the desert and dancing. Lira had been one of the country’s most talented vocalists, and her rise was apparent for all to see.

At the time when most fans imagined she would be taking over the country, a stroke hit her. Several fans felt she might lose her ability to speak and sing with a voice they loved.

Fortunately, Lira managed to speak and even sing again, as she showed during her birthday party. Indeed, it’s been an incredible comeback and a long journey that Lira had to walk to this day.

Fortunately, it paid off, and she is getting ready to restart her career again with a show on 25 May.

The video that Lira showed summed up the journey she faced and how much she had recovered. When fans feared for her life, her speaking and singing, not many ever imagined seeing her walking or running.

This improvement was what Lira showed in her video, and also how much her family enjoyed her recovery. Her friends and family came in numbers during her birthday party and wished her well.

She sang for them, showing she was back and ready to kick off.

“I celebrated my birthday with an intimate party with my friends and family, and surprised them with a mini concert! I felt safe enough to perform for them – they’ve been with me since I could not speak – and now I performed in English and vernacular – I nailed it!!! It was a proud moment. I could not hold back tears … I’ve come such a long way. I’m so proud of myself. I can’t wait to sing for you at the #Basslinefest on 25 May 2024 ❤️🙏🏾”
