‘Skeem Saam’ actress Lethabo Mekoa who plays the character of a teenager, Ntswaki is reportedly dating DJ Melzi.

Musician Tumelo Mphai, who is known as DJ Melzi is reportedly dating Skeem Saam actress Lethabo Mekoa.

IS DJ MELZI IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE ACTRESS?

TshisaLIVE reports that the house DJ Melzi has found love in the arms of the Skeem Saam actress Lethabo Mekoa.

The publication adds that the actress and DJ have been posting each other on their social media accounts.

This comes after DJ Melzi reportedly got dumped by Andiswa Selepe aka The Bomb in 2023.

The DJ recently surprised Mekoa with a bunch of flowers and their followers responded to the post.

A source close to the DJ tells the publication Melzi is fresh from a serious relationship and didn’t take the break-up well.”

“He is too invested in his relationship with Lethabo. He wants to make things right this time around and keep things discreet. But everyone can see that they really love each other”, adds the source.

When contacted for a comment, Melzi told the publication: “Why would you want to write such a story? I don’t like talking about my private life in the media, it’s not me.”

The South African reached out to actress Lethabo Mekoa who did not comment at the time of publishing this article.

WHO IS LETHABO MEKOA?

Skeem Saam actress Lethabo Mekoa is also a beauty queen in real life as she was crowned Miss Teen RGP (Regional Gauteng Province) in 2023.

She announced the news on her Instagram account and thanked everyone who voted for her.

“It wasn’t easy, but we made it! God really can and will! Thank you for having my back and believing in me! I always make you guys proud, and I’ll keep on doing that! I pray that God enlarges your blessings and heart’s desires ❤️I love you guys so much.”

The actress and beauty queen is older than her Skeem Saam role, Ntswaki. YouthVillage reports that Mekoa was born on 14 September 2004 in Pretoria.

The star reportedly pursued her high school at Prestige College where she secured three awards at the end of 2022 during her high school career.

HER ROLE IN ‘SKEEM SAAM ‘

The actress Lethabo Mekoa joined Skeem Saam in November 2022 as Meikie Maputla’s (Harriet Manamela) cousin named Ntswaki.

Mekoa tells The Citizen that she likes that her character does what she wants to do on her own time.

“Ntswaki never listens to what anyone says. She does what she feels is good for her and she goes after what she wants. Mostly bad stuff, but if that’s what she wants, she will go for it anyway.”

“What I have experienced portraying my character is that Me and Ntswaki are almost the same, so it wasn’t that hard portraying Ntswaki. So, expect the unexpected.”
