Meet Sindi Dlathu’s beautiful daughters

Sindi Dlathu has a career that has been thriving for over 20 years. The beauty was on Muvhango since 1997 and since leaving the soapie, she has managed to show off her acting chops on The River.

In the decades that she has been in the industry, she has accumulated millions of fans who have been supporting and encouraging her along the way. To say thank you for all the love and support, the actress organised a luncheon for her stans especially the ones that call themselves daughters of Sindi on Instagram.

Take a look at some of the pictures she posted to her IG.
What do you give to people who have so selflessly loved you and supported your craft? Nothing will ever be enough to say thank you for the kindness and love that @daughters_of_sindi and other supporters of my work have shown me, however, since my appreciation is all I can give for now, my team and I put together a special luncheon where I got to meet and personally thank an amazing group of people for their love and support. We ate, we sang, we laughed and we cried.

Of course, I would have loved to meet and show my appreciation to all of you. This luncheon was the first of many You have touched my heart in such a special way. And I wish each and every one of you the best in all that you wish and pray for. I mean it when I say you guys are my family. All of You!

Other than the pictures of her sisters on Instagram, Sindi is very private. We do know that she is currently married to Okielant Nkosi, they have two children, however she keeps a tight cover on her family and private family. Till this day, her children and husband have never been written about in the media.

Although there isn’t much information available about Sindi’s family, Sindi however is one Mzansi’s celebs who has a twin. Her twin sister is called Zanele Sangweni. The sister is married to Matome Meela, a local businessman who owns a pawn shop and sells used cars in Soweto.

When she is not hanging out with her sisters she is giving us chills as she delivers a world class performance on The River. Can you believe Phathu Makwarela who is the writer of 1Magic’s hit telenovela had been eyeing Sindi Dlathu and Hlomla Dandala’s since she was playing Thandaza in Muvhango? He envisioned what it would be like if Thandaza were to cheat on Ranthumeng with Hlomla as he was the ideal man for her.

Sharing a tweet from way back in 2012, he was evidently astonished at how he made that possible and how it is working out now.

The actress also has much to celebrate after her win at the virtually held South African Film & Television Award (Safta), where she walked away with Best Actress – Telenovela award for her role as Lindiwe in The River.

Renowned actor John Kani following Sindi’s win at the Saftas took to Twitter to share just how proud he was of the actress.

“I am so proud of you. From Committed Artists at the Market Theatre to Broadway in New York with Sarafina and to Best Actress SAFTA,” wrote The Lion King actor.
