Money poured to spoil Shauwn Mkhize’s name

No matter how many times our ZAlebs will expose fake Facebook accounts and scammers posing as them, people always fall victim and then try to tarnish their names. The latest victim is Shauwn Mkhize, who is not believed to be a victim by a man who is adamant that he was scammed by MaMkhize.

Sophi wanted to learn how to make money through trading and was hopeful that “Shauwn” would be the one to teach him. As a down and out family man, he needed to make enough money so his kids could go to school with their supplies.

“This person promised to make me R15 000 in three hours if I paid them R5 000. I didn’t have R5 000 but unfortunately, I invested my last R1 000,“ Sophi told the publication. “I saved R1 000 and I was planning to buy stationery and school uniforms in January. I kept searching for other ways to make money.”

The moment he realised that this was a scam was when he was asked to send his bank pin. “…by that time, I had deposited R1 000 and she promised me R5 200 within three hours.”

The man then wanted his money back but unfortunately he could not get it. Instead he got blocked.

The businesswoman’s personal assistant distanced Shauwn from this crime and said she does not have a Facebook account. The only thing she has is a verified Instagram account which she is active on. This is not the first time her name got dragged into such damning claims and her assistant said “she’s done everything to warn people about these fake accounts. She’s explained she doesn’t do trading. It’s sad to see people scammed in her name.”

According to Daily Sun, a man by the name of Sivuyile Sophi was scammed of R1 000 by an imposter, but he thought he was really talking to the real MaMkhize.

Her family’s name has been dragged through the mud countless times and she drew the line when her grandchildren got dragged into things.

“Hand off my grandchildren!!!” she exclaimed. “I had such an amazing time with my grandchildren this past weekend. As a parent I think it is important that we protect our kids from unnecessary or premature exposure. These are kids guys and let’s not rob them of their Innocence by involving them in the “ cruelty” and the harsh realities of this world. I’d I would also like to request everyone to please respect the family’s decision to keep the kids away from social media. Thanking you in advance.”
