Muvhango actress Sharon Seno says she hates weaves in real-life

The gifted actress and well-known figure in the entertainment industry, Sharon Seno, has declared her respect for the natural hair movement. In her personal life, Sharon, who portrays Marang Motsoaledi in the enduring soap opera Muvhango, expressed her dislike for artificial hairstyles and weaves.

The Marang actress added that she occasionally tries to wear as little makeup as possible and is not very fond of it. When discussing how she got cast as Marang, the stunningly gorgeous actress gave her opinions on weaves, natural hair, and makeup.

During an interview, she revealed that the producers of the show wanted a slay queen for the role of Marang. She insisted that she did not see herself as a slay queen. Speaking to Drum magazine, Sharon said,

“They wanted a young woman who best suits the image of a so-called slay queen – beautiful body, a full face of makeup and someone who wears long weaves.

“I was surprised to find I fit that profile because I’m far from being a slay queen. Like Marang, I’m a very independent woman. But I hate weaves and anything artificial. I have short, natural hair, and I hardly wear any makeup.”

Sharon says she was very shocked upon reading Marang’s biography for the first time. She and the character possess similar traits.

“When I first read Marang’s biography, I was very shocked because I possess some of the traits as her,”.

Sharon’s aversion to weaves and makeup is quite surprising, considering that she has been modelling since she was 13 and has always had a passion for acting.The actress has a tremendous desire to one day make it to Hollywood. The actress also intends to develop ‘locally housed movies’ in her native Botswana. She has also worked as a model, pageant finalist, beauty pageant judge, and actress.

Back in Botswana, she starred in the Botswana drama series Colors and Ntwakgolo before heading to South Africa. The gorgeous actress also made it to the Top 5 on the Miss Botswana pageant in 2013.
