Nadia Nakai: Please take the consuming anguish I feel right now

The late rapper was laid to rest at a private funeral service over the weekend and it’s still unbelievable to many that he is really deceased. Nadia took to Instagram to pen a bible verse that asks the Almighty to heal a broken heart.

She posted pictures of herself and AKA locking lips as she continued to celebrate his life and remember the memories they shared.

The scripture reads, “O God, come to my assistance; O Lord hurry to help me. Please take the consuming anguish I feel right now; Take it from me and hold me in your arms. Heal my broken heart and bind my wounds. Amen
Psalm 147:3.”

Fans took to the comments section to comfort her. On Monday 20 February, the rapper took to Instagram to break her silence following the tragic passing of AKA.

Several people were left sobbing after Nadia shared her final message to AKA.

She wrote: “My Heart is shattered, this is not what our future was meant to look like. I can’t believe I said my final goodbye to you yesterday.

“I’ll never see you again for the rest of my lifetime? You loved me loud and proud, thank you baby. Protected me, Prayed for me, inspired me.”

She continued to write how it is “difficult to breathe, let alone find the words to express her love for you .”

“I’m really going to miss all the special moments we’ve had. This really hurts! I can’t come to terms with the fact that I’ll never hear you say you love me, I’ll never hear your laugh. We had plans.”

In the wake of the rapper’s untimely death, Nakai said she was questioning God and trying to cope with her loss.

“There is no pain bigger than the pain of losing you. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with you, I realise you’re the one who spent the rest of your life with me. I don’t know why things happen the way they do, but I’m questioning God right now. Why would he bring us together to only take you away. I just don’t understand. I don’t know how I’m going to do this, going on with my life without you, I just can’t.
“Rest in peace Kiernan, I love you.”
