Nadia Nakai reveals that she is still in pain despite the passage of a whole month

Forbes was shot and killed alongside his close friend, Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane in a shooting at a popular night spot on Durban’s Florida Road on Friday 10 February.

AKA and Nadia were inseparable and their love inspired many people. A month after his death the Ragga Ragga hitmaker shared that it still feels like yesterday. The rapper is still struggling to come to terms with his untimely loss.

She posted a picture of them looking all loved up and captioned it “It’s been a month, it feels like yesterday. Please can someone undo this. 💔,” Her fans took to the comment section to comfort her.

AKA was laid to rest in a private ceremony on Saturday, February 18. Following his funeral service, Nadia Nakai broke her silence on social media about his death.

She wrote, “My heart is shattered. This is not what our future was meant to look like. I can’t believe I said my final goodbye to you yesterday. I’ll never see you again for the rest of my life? You loved me loud and proud, thank you baby. Protected me, prayed for me, and, inspired me. I find it hard to breathe let alone find the words to explain how much I love you,” she wrote.

Nadia expressed her desire to spend the rest of her life with AKA, saying that she thought she would spend her entire life with him, but AKA is the one who spent his whole life with her.

“I’m going to miss all the special moments we’ve had. This hurts. I can’t come to terms with the fact that I’ll never hear you say you love me, I’ll never hear your laugh. We had plans.

“There is no pain bigger than the pain of losing you. I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with you, realize you’re the one who spent the rest of your life with me. I don’t know why things happen the way they do, but I’m questioning God right now. Why would He bring us together only to take you away? I don’t understand. I don’t know how I’m going to do this, going on with my life without you. I just can’t. Rest in peace Kiernan, I love you.”

Minister of Police, Bheki Cele told the media on March 7 that they have made progress in the murder investigation of the late rapper. According to him, his team has collected several cell phones from people they suspect of murdering AKA. However, that statement echoes what we heard days after AKA was murdered.
