Naledi Aphiwe Myongwane, a 17-year-old multi-award-winning singer from Inanda, Durban, has a birthday wish that could make headlines. She dreams of opening for international superstar Chris Brown at the FNB Stadium during his South African tour this December.

“This would be the best gift I’ve ever received in my entire life,” she shared passionately.

Naledi, who recently completed her matric exams, has been balancing her blossoming music career with her education. Known for her viral singing videos and a feature on Chris Brown’s song *Shooter* from his 2023 album *11:11*, she has gained global recognition.

Despite her success, she has remained grounded, ensuring she prioritizes her education. “Finishing school is very important because it opens doors. There were times when I couldn’t attend performances because of school commitments. Now that I’m done with my exams, I can fully focus on my music,” she said.

Naledi’s dream is to open for Chris Brown during his performances at the FNB Stadium on December 14 and 15, just before her birthday on December 16. “Seeing Chris Brown come back to South Africa feels significant to me because I was able to collaborate with him. I feel happy and inspired,” she added.
