Nomvelo Makhanya left scandal because her boyfriend doesn’t want actors to kiss her

Nomvelo Makhanya, a SAFTA award winner, is leaving Scandal after 9 years on the program.

Nomvelo Makhanya is a South African actress best known for her role as Lindiwe Ngema on the popular soapie ScandalI, which she starred in for over a decade.

She was born in Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal, but her family quickly relocated to Johannesburg. In that city of dreams, her passion in the theatrical arts would be sparked.

Her acting career began in 2012 on the set of e.tv’s Scandal! In retrospect, she would never have guessed she’d be appearing on one of South Africa’s most popular television series.
