It was a tense Saturday of football as we witnessed yet another drama-filled match day. It looks like the usual hunters are being hunted as we’ve smaller teams claim victory over the big guys. This is usually unacceptable for the teams which have millions of fans, however, it tends to happen in football and you can’t really put a finger on it. A loss like this one usually calls for introspection and the changes fans have been calling for.

Pearl Thusi has turned into quite a fan of football and she regularly interacts with fans on social media. The actress is a known Kaizer Chiefs fan and she doesn’t back down from supporting the team. She has always had a relationship with football considering that she once dated both Walter Mokoena and Robert Marawa and they are considered as one of the greatest sportscasters of our time.

Pearl Thusi took to social media to call a fellow Kaizer Chiefs fan to order after he posted an unflattering comment about Shawn Mkhize. The fan referred to the Royal AM boss as a ‘Slay queen’ and shared that losing against her time was a huge blow. The actress who is also close to Shawn made it a point to defend her in the presence of trolls.

Pearl had shared prior to the game that she would be supporting Royal AM in the game against Kaizer Chiefs. It is safe to say she chose the right side, however, she revealed that it was a bitter-sweet moment for her. Amakhosi were thrashed 4-1 by the newsboys and this wasn’t expected by anyone prior to the game.

Royal AM definitely made a statement and I’m certain their next opponents will be shaking in their boots after this performance. This win will give the team the confidence and also hope of retaining the status or even going for broke with the league titles. They hit back at critics and this led to Kaizer Chiefs fans calling for Stuart Baxter’s number and it seems like they already want him gone.
