South Africa is in shock as news comes to light that two of its greatest thespians Menzi Ngubane and Noxee Maqashalala passed away today and yesterday respectively.

Menzi Ngubane who has been battling with diabetes and kidney disease for years succumbed to a stroke. He was 56 years old.
This evening his family put out a statement which read in part βMenzi spent much of his time in trying to demystify issues relating to kidney disease and sugar diabetes while promoting positive lifestyle changes needed to cope with the diseases.β

Just last year The Queen’s Executive producer, Connie Ferguson commented on Menziβs situation, stating, βWe were very excited when we announced that Menzi will be joining The Queen family, as he brings with him a wealth of experience. We will continue keeping them in our prayers and supporting them on this journey, and wish Menzi strength to continue fighting the good fight, and come back stronger than ever. We canβt wait for him to make his return soon to entertain our viewers with his charismatic acting skills and screen presence.β

Another shocking death comes after veteran actress, Noxolo Maqashalala was found dead in her house in Joburg, she was 44 years old.
