SA celebs Mourn the death of Sangoma Anele Hoyana
If you’ve been on Twitter in the last 48 hours you may have come across the disturbing story of Anele Hoyana’s death The Eastern Cape sangoma was killed by his white farmer ‘friend’, and the whole thing was captured and shared on social media.
Twitter went into full meltdown mode over the clearly racially-fueled crime and tweeps called out the disgusting act as well as the ‘fake unity’ that has prevailed since the Springboks won the Rugby World Cup.
Anele Hoyana
Zalebs, like the rest of us, were outraged too and made their feelings known. Pearl Thusi shared her condolences to Anele’s family and took aim at the South African judiciary system.
The Hoyana family has requested that we take down these videos of #anele and stop sharing them......🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿

#RIPANELE Those videos broke my heart. I can only imagine what his family is going through.
The South African Justice system needs to find stronger measures to condemn acts of Racism.
As these weeds keep sprouting, they need to be dug, pulled out by the roots and burnt. 💔

Rest In Peace Anele Hoyana.
I am revolted by this flagrant misrepresentation of a MURDERER, as a “victim” of mental illness.
Part of privilege is access to health care - mental health care & support. There is zero support for mental illness for 90% of the S African population
