Celebrities and general society came out in droves to witness the Ferguson glory and all in all it seems the event was a resounding success for all involved. There were a few moments however that caught our eye and had our hearts brimming with joy, and that was seeing some of our favourite young women networking with Mrs Ferguson. From Rea Kopi to Miss Gee Kays and Masego Mohwasa, some of our favourite stars and businesswomen got the opportunity to rub shoulders and exchange ideas with an Icon, and we couldn’t be happier for them.

We don’t know if this was just a casual chat or Rea actually got footage for a Rea Online episode but the starlet got some alone time with Connie. In a heartfelt post she shared that she’s followed Connie career for ages, and she embodies everything she wants to be.

Draped in an ethereal Gilded Sands creation, Khumo Kgwaadira, otherwise known as Miss Gee Kays, got to host the show alongside Thobo Tlhasana, and declared the experience her 2018 highlight.

Not only was Isago Ntle’s Award winning short film Gobe: The Gift showcased that evening, she got recognition from The Queen herself during the morning session. It turns out Mrs Ferguson has seen Masego’s short film Thanya, and she shared how the story line captivated her and had her excited to see what more Batswana filmmakers had to offer.
