Scorpion Kings’ Kabza De Small is the latest ZAleb to have his craft appreciated by American superstars. Musician and dance extraordinaire, Usher was dancing to his hit song Sponono in a Versace advert. The track is from Kabza’s second studio album I Am The King Of Amapiano: Sweet and Dust and features musical giants Wizkid, Burna Boy and South African musicians Cassper Nyovest and his partner in crime DJ Maphorisa.

In awe over yet another milestone, DJ Maphorisa said he knew Amapionao would be this big and also gushed over his voice making it to Usher’s Instagram. “I saw amapiano going big in dreams, I felt it. Sauta, it’s our time ereng voice ya Madumane ko IG ya Usher mara he, (how’s Madumane’s voice over there by Usher’s IG?)” he tweeted.

Cassper Nyovest, who has always been vocal about how proud he is of SA music and the success it has, also gave a shout out and said “Vibing to sponono on his Instagram. Mapiano to the world!!!” His manager threw shade at WizKid and Burna Boy for not giving the song the much needed praise.

“I know Burna & Wizkid had bigger ish poppin, but as a fan of African music & meaningful African collaborations.. them not acknowledging Sponono wasn’t cool, such a slept on record which could’ve been massive across continent.
But hey, what do I know. S/O Kabza, Phori & Nyovest,” he wrote.

Just recently Focalistic received heaps of praises when Alicia Keys and her family were listening and chilling to Ke Star. Focalistic also received a major co-sign from one of the biggest moguls in the entertainment industry, Diddy. The Bad Boyz Records owner took to his IG stories to share a video with his 17 million followers, of himself and his friends jamming to Focalistic’s Ke Star.

Ludacris also showed love to Amapiano when he chilled in a Jacuzzi listening to the hit song Mthande by Kabza De Small, Mas Musiq & Riky Rick.
