No doubt wonders never cease to amaze. DJ Zinhle, born Ntombezinhle Jiyane, was left counting losses after one of her trusted employees dug deep in her pocket without her knowledge. After half a million was siphoned from her bank account, she was dealt with a blow.

Her main bank account was fraudulently accessed, and the perpetrator managed to siphon at least R500 000 in a year. The incident has been happening from July last year to July this year. However, it was terrible that the celebrated personality was unaware that the money was being drawn from her account. One of her allies who sympathized with her revealed the news of the daring incident.

The source has it that DJ Zinhle later discovered that her employees who knew her username and password was withdrawing funds from her account.

During a consultation meeting with her lawyers Mashele Attorneys in Protea Glen, Soweto, in July this year. She discovered the incident, which spanned for almost a year.

Upon noticing this, the business mogul who has a business empire with interests in accessory shops and cosmetics lines questioned her employee who had access to her accounts. However, the fraudster’s name was kept under wraps for legal reasons.


The suspect feigned in the mix of things, and the bubbly personality was forced to press charges against her at the Protea Glen police station. However, police statements have it that:

“The complainant alleged that on 2021-07- 21 she went to Protea North at Mashele Attorneys to consult with her attorney and she realized that, who is working in accounts department in her company, has been transferring money into her banking account.

According to bank statements, this has been happening from July 2020, and a close to R500 00 has been transferred.”

Speaking on the sidelines of the case, Gauteng Provincial Police spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela confirmed that DJ Zinhle opened a case of theft and fraud against one of her employees at Protea Glen. However, from the news gathered, no arrest has been made yet, but police investigations are being conducted.

It has been established that statements from crucial witnesses were recorded and brought before National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) South Gauteng after questioning the employee.

The investigators have since requested an application to access information that is not of the public domain. NPA South Gauteng spokesperson Phindi Mjonondwane did confirm that the police did apply for the order in line with section 205. In the wake of this daring incident, DJ Zinhle hasn’t weighed into the matter since it’s under investigation.
