Velile Makhoba is a South African actress and dancer famous for her role as Gugulethu on Gomora. Her journey began with dancing before she pivoted into acting. Many fans of Gugulethe from Gomora have no idea that she not only acts but also dances. Additionally, she was recently cast in The Black Door in April 2022 in a starring role.

Makhoba was born in Mayville, Durban, KwaZulu Natal Province, South Africa, in 2001. She grew up there and fell in love with traditional South African dancing while still in primary school. These dances were deeply ingrained in her culture and hence held special meaning for her.
