Although she did not reveal her boyfriend’s name, Lady Zamar told the podcaster that their relationship was a couple of months old.

Asked what her partner got her for Valentine’s, the singer said: “I got flowers and a dinner date.”

She continued: “I’ve always been open to dating. I love love. Like, I’ll try it and if it sucks, it sucks, and I’ll leave.”

RELATIONSHIP WITH SJAVA AND RAPE ALLEGATIONS

Lady Zamar is not big on sharing her private life with her fans. Her only known relationship was with rapper and singer Sjava, real name Jabulani Hadebe.

However, since their relationship ended, the Love is Blind hitmaker has been a victim of mob intimidation and cyberbullying on social media. The treatment she receives stems from the rape allegations she levelled against Sjava in 2017.

According to Lady Zamar, the Ikhandlela singer sexually assaulted her while they were together at a hotel in Limpopo. The pair were in a relationship at the time.

In 2018, the Collide singer opened a case against Sjava – who denied the rape allegations and filed an application for the matter to be heard in the high court.

“As a final statement on this matter, I write to you as my colleagues, business partners, peers and supporters to inform you that I will not be engaging on matters of assault and abuse levelled against me on social media or any other platform.

“I have instituted legal proceedings in the high court of SA and as such the matter is now sub judice,” he said in his statement.

In 2020, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) declined to prosecute as it believed “the facts or evidence do not support a successful prosecution” — the Sowetan reported.
