And now, five years later, she is beginning her family in grand style by dedicating an EP to her newborn child.
Zandie, who is originally from Nquthu in KwaZulu-Natal, is expecting to deliver her kid, Zenala, in a month. Additionally, she dedicated her seven-track EP, which was published last week, to her.

According to the musician, one of her songs, Zenala, was written specifically for her pregnant child, and she hopes her child will listen to it one day.

“I chose to name my EP Zenala after my unborn child because she will arrive around the time I intended to establish a family.

“My greatest goal was to marry first and then stay married for at least five years before beginning our family,” she explained.

Zandie is married to Mhlo Gumede, a well-known talent manager, and businessman.

She stated that she realized the years she had set aside to create her family had passed her by.

“I chose to dedicate the song to my unborn child because he/she will arrive at the time I had anticipated, and my greatest dream has been granted.

“I worked diligently on this EP to create a distinctive sound that would make my child pleased to listen to it as he/she grows older. While my genre remains Afro pop, this one is unique in that it is entirely dedicated to my first child.”

According to the Akwanele singer, she collaborated with producers Lindani Gumede and Mojalefa “Mjakes” Thebe, as well as Sneziey, Umzumbe Inspirational Choir, Maqhinga Radebe, and Sicelo Gowani on the EP.

“To suit all of my admirers, the EP also includes my two maskandi songs, Ngijabule Kabi and Fihlani Amadodenu.
