Zolisa Xaluva Beats TV Giants in Court Battle — Wins R350K After Contract Dispute with Seriti Studios!
Mzansi’s beloved actor Zolisa Xaluva has proven that no one is above accountability — not even the biggest names in the industry!
The former Gomora and Code 13 star just walked away with a R350 000 payout after winning a contract dispute against Seriti Studios, the powerhouse behind major shows like Skeem Saam and The Wife.
🧾 What Happened?
According to legal documents, Xaluva claimed that Seriti Studios failed to pay him for work he did in March and April 2023 while filming Code 13.
His contract clearly stated that he must be paid per shooting day, unless otherwise agreed by both parties — which didn’t happen.
When payments didn’t come through, the actor took the fight to the Arbitration Foundation of Southern Africa (AFSA), where the arbitrator ruled in his favour, ordering Seriti to pay the full amount.
🏛️ Court Drama Continues…
Even after the ruling, Seriti allegedly refused to comply, forcing Zolisa to escalate the matter to the Johannesburg High Court.
The production house tried to counterclaim against him, but the arbitrator dismissed their arguments entirely.
👏 Fans React
Fans across South Africa are celebrating Zolisa’s resilience, praising him for standing up for fair treatment in the entertainment industry.
“This is bigger than just one actor. It’s a win for every creative who’s ever been taken advantage of,” one fan commented on social media.
🙌 A Win for Artists Everywhere
Zolisa’s victory shines a light on the challenges faced by actors behind the scenes and reminds industry giants that contracts must be respected.
Justice served. Respect earned.
Zolisa Xaluva — you did that! 💪🔥
