This comes after producer-actress Connie Ferguson took to her Instagram on Monday, 1 April, to confirm the filming of third season.

Ferguson shared a message from Netflix which read: “Welcome to the start of production on Kings of Joburg S3!’ We’re so happy to be working with you!”

Kings of Joburg was created by Connie’s late husband, Shona Ferguson, who portrayed the role of Simon Masire in season one.

Connie, the cast and crew of the show previously dedicated the show to Shona who passed away from Covid-19 in July 2021.

“We lost him, so we paused everything. I didn’t even know whether I’d have the strength to continue with Kings of Jo’burg because it was a Sho project. He was so passionate about this baby.”

“First of all, I didn’t wanna let him down, and I didn’t know if I would have the strength to do it without him because he was a big part of it.” she said in the interview,” she said.

OTHER ACTORS IN ‘KINGS OF JOBURG’

The actress-producer Connie Ferguson portrays Veronica Mosire alongside Zolisa Xaluva as Mo Mosire in Kings of Joburg.

Ferguson also appeared as a Masire Mermaid in season one before her role as Veronica in season two.
