MELINDA FERGUSON CONFIRMS HER BOOK
The Citizen reports that author Melinda Ferguson confirmed in a Facebook post that she’s been writing a book about AKA and Anele Tembe.
“I have never worked harder on a book. I have never been more freaked out by a story. I have never kept a secret like I have this one, but the news has just been leaked on social media…So here it is from the horse’s mouth,” said Ferguson on Thursday, 11 April
“My new book will hit the shelves next week. It’s been a real journey to get this out. It nearly killed my own relationship. It’s a story that broke my heart,” concluded the author.
News of her book was first leaked on social media on the third anniversary of Anele Tembe’s passing.
IOL reports that Tembe’s father gave his blessing and they are glad she will be remembered. Ferguson described the story on a “tragedy about two young and talented people who are no longer with us.”
SOUTH AFRICANS SLAM THE AUTHOR
@tootsmathela: “I agree with them. People who use other people’s pain for personal gains hope the Mega fans don’t buy it.”
@Proudly012: “Can the author be sued for writing a book about their son without consent?”
@Biejanka4: “The book and the interview appear to be much of a coincidence.”
