Amapiano sensation Kabza De Small is making headlines after he dropped his much-awaited project ‘Kabza Chant.’ The song has been topping the charts since it dropped.

Kabza De Small pulled a shocker when he revealed that he was dropping the song a few days before his Red Bull Symphonic Orchestra show.

KABZA DE SMALL’S CHANT MAKES HISTORY

The song’s big wins have since left many convinced that he made a perfect timing. The chant, titled “Kabza Chant,” features performances by Young Stunna, Nkosazana Daughter, Mthunzi, Nokwazi, Anzo, Mashudu, Marumba Pitch, and Tman X.

The song has since undoubtedly made it to the history books of the South African music industry. Taking it to X, formerly Twitter MDN News, shared some of the big wins so far.

The news blog posted, “Kabza De Small “Kabza Chant” is now the first ever song in history by a South African to receive over 100K daily streams on SA. Spotify on its first day of release. The song debuted at No.#1 on the SA Spotify daily chart with 130,13K streams.”

The post has undoubtedly gained thousands of comments and reactions since it was posted on the internet. Fans were quick to flood X with their two cents.

Another X user commented, “Whoever says it’s not good doesn’t have a music ear. I didn’t know about it until yesterday morning when someone was playing it while I was still sleeping. However, I asked who the artist of this euphonious piece was. I was stunned to be told that it was Kabza.”

Another user took a swipe at DJ Maphorisa as he praised Kabza De Small. The X user commented, “It’s because Phori wasn’t featured.

WINNING BIG

Earlier this year, Kabza De Small won big Metro FM Music awards. The award-winning DJ and producer ditched the prestigious awards ceremony but still won four awards.

Undoubtedly, Kabza De Small and Mthunzi Ndimande were the night’s biggest winners. His smash hit Imithandazo, from his collaborative album with Mthunzi Ndimande, Isimo, outshone several other smash hits, including Horns in the Sun and Mnike, in several categories.

The smash hit won Best Collaboration, Best Amapiano, Song of the Year and Best Produced Album for Isimo. Mthunzi Ndimande accepted all the awards they had won.
