Bafana Bafana became R47 million richer after beating Cape Verde in quarterfinals. How much will they receive if they pull through to finals?

Bafana Bafana will receive R47 million after reaching the AFCON (Africa Cup of Nations) semifinals on Sunday, 4 February morning.

R47 MILLION RICHER

The South African national soccer team, Bafana Bafana qualified for the semifinals and became R47 million richer after upsetting Cape Verde.

SABC sportscaster, Xoliswa Zondo revealed on Sunday morning on X that the South African team will receive R75 million if they progress to the finals.

“Bafana Bafana are R47 Million ($2.5M) richer after reaching the AFCON semifinals!!! Should they beat Nigeria on Wednesday and progress to the finals they will be guaranteed R75 Million ($4M)!!! In Bafana Bafana we believe,” she tweeted.

Leadership reports that South Africa will face Nigeria in the semifinals on Wednesday, 7 February at 19:00.

The 2024 AFCON winners will receive a whopping $7 million (R132 million) while the runner up will receive $4 million (R75 million) according to NigeriaNaye.
