Big Brother Mzansi (BBMzansi) season three runner-up, Themba “Broly” Mabaso is ready to mend his broken relationships with the mothers of his children.

Themba, who is also a musician, is looking to reconcile with his baby mamas on Themba: My Inked World – A Redemption Song, which premieres on Mzansi Magic channel 161 on Thursday 9 May at 20:00.

“He wants to do better; he knows he has messed up a bit with both his baby mamas. A lot has happened after he stopped shooting the first season,” a source told ZiMoja.

Moreover, the new season will see Themba trying to revive his dream of going into business and also getting his music career to take off.

The Uyangifaka singer has two children with Nqobile Khuzwayo and one child with BBMzansi season three winner Mphowabadimo Mvundla.

Themba and Mphowabadimo – who is a sangoma – started dating during their time in the Big Brother house in 2022. However, in March 2023, Mphowabadimo revealed that she had dumped Themba. This was after allegations that Themba had been cheating with Nqobile.

In the same month, while Mphowabadimo was still pregnant, she released a statement revealing that she is taking legal action after allegedly receiving death threats from people close to Themba.

The former couple’s relationship woes do not end there, as Mphowabadimo admitted during her interview on MacG’s YouTube show, Podcast and Chill, that she has denied Themba access to their baby.

“Until we are at an amicable space, I think I’ll speak for him.

“A lot of things happened, but him going publically and saying I’m denying him access to the child was a low blow. There could’ve been ways to go around that. Unfortunately, the public won’t help in this situation because it is a situation between between him and I,” the mother-of-two told MacG and Sol Phenduka.

She continued: “I’m not depriving him from seeing his child, but the manner in which we broke up was not beautiful so it’s kind of hard to rebuild that bridge.”

She further explained that there is a process Themba needs to follow, in accordance with her calling as a sangoma, to see his son. Mpho said that the process or cultural practice is similar to two families coming together for lobolo negotiations. Until that is done, she said she cannot allow Themba to see their child
