Child star Karabo Magongwa is living her dream.

Karabo Magongwa’s acting career has progressed significantly.

The 15-year-old first captured the hearts of South Africans in a commercial she made with actor Richard Lekunku when she was five years old.

The Oreo biscuit commercial featured a young girl teaching her father how to eat biscuits.

She is now one of the main characters on e.tv’s most popular soap opera, House of Zwide. She takes on the role of Keletso Molapo.

Karabo Magongwa has been passionate about acting from a tender age. Her journey to stardom has been impressive, with her taking major roles in notable television shows. Furthermore, she has worked with some of the finest Mzansi actors and actresses, such as Nefisa Mkhabela, Vusi Kunene, and Winnie Ntshaba.

The actress was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. Who are Karabo Magongwa’s parents? Her mother is Patricia. On the other hand, there is little known about her father. It is also challenging to establish if she has siblings or not. Presumably, she is the only child in her family.

She completed her grade R qualification at Johannesburg International Primary School. She always wanted to be an actress since she was a child. The desire has come true thanks to her mother’s assistance.

It all began as a childish fantasy. She was obsessed with performing, an ambition she had since she was three years old. Her mother registered her with an agency when she was six years old. FCB Africa is the name of Karabo Magongwa’s agency.

The agency was in charge of developing the advertisement that made her a national celebrity. She first appeared in an Oreo biscuit commercial. She was dubbed “the Oreo girl” by some. She later appeared in a Standard Bank app promo.

Karabo, who’s from Snake Park in Soweto, spoke to SunBuzz about her career in entertainment and how she started out.

“My mom told me that I used to play in front of the mirror a lot, acting. And whenever I would see a child playing a role on TV, I’d always say I could do that as well or even better than that person. So she looked for an agent for me, and when she found one, we went for auditions.

“I did everything they asked me to do, and I became an actress,” she said.

She enjoys acting on House of Zwide and collaborating with big performers like Vusi Kunene, Winnie Ntshaba, Motlatsi Mafatshe, and Jeffery Sekele.

“The last year has been incredible. Despite the fact that they are famous actors, we have all become like a large family. What I enjoy about the actors is that, despite their celebrity, they don’t have enormous egos.”

The new season of House of Zwide premiered last month, and Karabo predicts that viewers will be hooked to their televisions because it is so compelling.
