Elton Jantjies’s ex granted permanent protection order against him

A court has granted Ashleigh Ogle a permanent protection order against ex Springbok Elton Jantjies, who is accused of making death threats.

The Randburg Magistrates Court has granted Ashleigh Ogle a permanent protection order against former Springbok Elton Jantjies.

This comes after the TV personality alleged that the rugby player – who is currently under a doping ban – had threatened to kill her during their relationship.

Ashleigh and Elton dated for three months last year. This, following his split from wife Iva Ristic over an alleged affair with team dietician Zeenat Simjee in 2022.

Ashleigh has accused the 33-year-old of domestic abuse, death threats, and using drugs. He has denied the allegations.

ELTON JANTJIES SLAPPED WITH PERMANENT PROTECTION ORDER

In a statement to The South African, Ashleigh Ogle’s attorneys NRI Attorneys revealed that the Randburg Magistrates Court had granted her a permanent protection order against Elton Jantjies.

The law firm stated that they had undertaken the case pro bono as part of their commitment to represent woman and children against abuse.

Elton – who attended court proceedings – consented to the final order.

“We are pleased with the outcome of the matter and trust that Ms Ashleigh Ogle will continue on her path to recovery following her traumatic experience,” read the statement.

ASHLEIGH OGLE: ‘THIS MAN IS OUT TO KILL ME’

In her tell-all late last year, Ashleigh Ogle made several shocking claims about her ex, Elton Jantjies, including allegations of domestic abuse, substance abuse, and even claims he stalked her.

Speaking to The South African in November, she said: “This man is out to kill me. He is very desperate.

“He threatened me and told me I can’t be with anyone else, he will kill me if I moved on. The look on his face scared me and made me believe him.

She added: “It’s absolutely disgusting what kind of man he is to women. I understand now why Iva moved on.”

Ashleigh dedicated her recent celebrity boxing match win to victims of gender-based violence.

She shared in an Instagram post: “This victory was for ALL WOMEN. The most common way women give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any. THIS IS YOUR REMINDER”

Ahead of her April fight, Ashleigh said of her motivation: “The reason I am doing this is to empower women. As you know, I’ve gone through a lot of stuff.

She added: “This is my way of showing women that you can stand your ground and accomplish a lot of things.”
