Pearl Monama is a well-known South African actress. When she does not act, she works as an assistant director and teacher at the University of Pretoria.

Pearl has been in the game for a short time since her major part in the 2014 film Suurlemoen. She is most known for her prominent role in the soap opera Generations: The Legacy on SABC.

Born Pearl Noxolo Monama, the actor is a hardworking person who exemplifies consistency, confidence, and picking herself up whenever she is down. The stunning personality was born and bred in Mzansi, which is why her success is an inspiration to many.

In previous interviews, she mentioned that her mother, who is very pleased and delighted for her, works at African Bank, while her father works in the home loans business of Standard Bank. She has also mentioned having a sibling. However, further information is lacking.

Pearl Monama obtained her whole education at Afrikaans schools. She attended Laerskool Kragbron in Witbank and subsequently Horskool Brandwag in Benoni.

Her postgraduate studies (Honours degree) were completed at the University of Pretoria. She majored in film and theatre at university. She used to perform at school alongside members of The Forgotten Angle Collaborative and Matchbox Theatre.

The recently graduated actor is relatively new in the acting scene since playing a role in Suurlemoen. However, she burst into the scene two years later in 2016 as Sphesihle from Generation (her show). To underline her meteoric rise, she landed the leading role (her first lead) almost immediately after graduation. Sphe from generations is the daughter of a character known as Jack Mabaso.
