‘He DMed someone in March’: SA reacts to Siya Kolisi’s divorce
‘We all know what happened, Siya cheated, Rachel went through his phone’, said some South Africans after the Kolisis announced divorce.
Rumours about Siya Kolisi cheating on Rachel began spreading on social media week ago.
@compaqllow wrote on X on 15 October: “I know someone he DM’d just in March.”
While @missLikhona posted on X on 16 October: “I refuse to believe that Siya Kolisi is cheating on Rachel. Asoze (never), no I don’t believe.”
DID SIYA KOLISI CHEAT?
The Springboks captain Siya Kolisi made headlines in 2019 for allegedly sliding into a Cape Town model Marike Botha’s DM’s.
TshisaLIVE reported in 2019 that the fitness model Marike Botha hired a bodyguard among other safety measures after Mrs Kolisi put her on blast for allegedly sending him risqué pictures on social media.
Botha also claimed in a since deleted Instagram post that she did not reach out to Siya first.
The publication added that after Rachel’s posts went viral, Botha revealed in a magazine interview that when she got Rachel’s message, she told her to “keep her husband on a tighter leash” and that she had nothing to feel guilty about as she had done nothing wrong.
Though the Kolisis did not reveal reasons for their divorce on Tuesday, South Africans predict Siya may have done something wrong.
