Hungani Ndlovu Raises Questions about Sjava’s Profits from ‘Shaka Ilembe’ and ‘Zone 14’.

How does it work?’: ‘Skeem Saam’ actor Hungani Ndlovu questions ‘Shaka Ilembe’ and ‘Zone 14’ star actor Sjava.

Talented actor and artist Sjava, whose real name is Jabulani Hadebe revealed on X that he earned R70 000 per episode on Shaka Ilembe.

SJAVA: ‘R70 000 PER EPISODE’

Hadebe who portrayed a king in the Mzansi Magic hit series, Shaka Ilembe also revealed that he earned R10 000 per episode on Zone 14.

A fan of the musician @CdurraDaRuler_ asked: “Grootman, how much you earned during your Zone 14 Days?”

To which Sjava replied: “R10k per episode.” Another fan @KhutsoMatlamela asked him: “And how much for Shaka?”. He responded: “R70k per episode.”

Skeem Saam actor Hungani Ndlovu took to X to respond to Sjava’s earning “revelations” on social media.

@HunganiNdlovu replied: “Interesting, It’s the first time I hear of actors being paid per episode in SA. How does it work?”

@Bongani_RSA responded to Ndlovu’s reply and said: “I don’t think that’s realistic how do you even cost that on an episode Is it not on daily rate?”

The South African reached out to Sjava for a comment before this article was published. He was not available for a comment.

HIS ROLE IN ‘SHAKA ILEMBE’

The Citizen reported in July 2023 that the actor and musician Sjava portrayed the role of iNkosi YamaHlubi on Mzansi Magic’s Shaka iLembe.

TVSA reveals that the award-winning musician portrayed the character of Zonke in SABC1’s drama series, Zone 14, seasons two to four.

The publication adds that he’s also starred in eHostela, Isifiso, Soul Buddyz, uGogo no Andile, Nikiwe and many more others.
