‘I felt like I was the girlfriend’: Nonku’s ex-boyfriend Dumisani Ndlazi.

#RHODurban star Nonku Williams’ ex-partner, Dumisani Ndlazi, has spilled all the tea on their relationship.

Nonku Williams Rough Diamond

Real Housewives of Durban (RHOD) star Nonku Williams’ relationship with Dumisani Ndlazi, also known as Rough Diamond or RD, looked healthy to the public. However, according to the businessman, things were not as good as they seemed.

The controversial businessman told ZiMoja that Nonku was broke, couldn’t pay her employees in her construction company and was very controlling.

“She wanted to get married after she was promised her own show,” he said. “I was in it for love, but it seems like she was more into content than the relationship.

“She started controlling me. I felt like I was the girlfriend and not the other way around. She wanted things done her way.

“Never. That chapter is closed. I walked away for a reason. There is no real man who can stand her and her controlling ways. She is too much of a crowd pleaser.”

The two former lovers are embroiled in a legal battle after Nonku accused Ndlazi of stealing from her company. She claimed, during an episode of RHOD, that Ndlazi stole material worth R300 000 from her company.

Nonku’s allegations were followed by a letter of demand from Ndlazi’s legal representative, Sabelo Khubisa of Khubisa Attorneys, who demanded that she apologises before 4 March at 16:00. However, she has not issued an apology.

“She did not apologise, instead her lawyers sent us a letter with demands,” ZiMoja, quoted Khubisa as saying.

The former couple made headlines and trended for all the wrong reasons last year, including rape and scamming allegations levelled against Ndlazi.

According to a 2014 article by the Zululand Observer, the businessman was accused of allegedly raping a 20-year-old woman. He was arrested and later released on R2 000 bail. In addition, a media statement on the South African Police Services (SAPS) website revealed that he was sentenced to 10 years in prison in 2016.

While Nonku was aware of the case, she vehemently told ZiMoja last year that nothing anyone said about Ndlazi would come between them. She further revealed that, according to his version, he was falsely accused and only served six months behind bars.

“He told me he was arrested for rape… he was arrested for five, six months,” she said.

“I saw somebody. I fell in love with him. I saw a side to him that a lot of people didn’t see.”
