Recently, Cape Town based music artist Tallrickyworldwide released a song, Chom, featuring digital content creator Inkosi Yama Ndebele (born as Zakhe Ntshakaza).

The song was received well by both of these artists fans and supporters. They also had a verse challenge that was up on TikTok which was joined by many people including the TV series Isitha – The enemy cast.

Talking to BONA, Zakhe shared with us that he started rapping in 2013 when he released his first song and was doing music shows up until 2016, “From 2017 I was not really in touch with music, but I always knew how to write songs and rap, so I thought for this year let me be more serious about music.”

He shared with us that the feature came through Zolani Jama because he believed he could be the perfect fit for the song, “I did not even know who Ricky was at that point, we did everything through Zolani until I requested a studio session where we met officially and became friends.”

The song is currently trendy with people enjoying is verse, he shared with us that makes him happy because he was skeptical about how people will receive the verse because in Cape Town no one knows that he can write, and rap.

“I have mixed emotions, I am excited and happy, people received it so well and everyone is jamming to it, so I am happy and excited at the same time,” he shared laughing.

When we asked him if it is a once off thing or he is going back to focusing on his music career he replied, “I also thought it was going to be a once off thing, but people want more so I will definitely tap into music fully again.”

For those who would like to know why he chose the name ‘Inkosi Yama Ndebele’, he explained that he did not want to use his real name on socials with hopes that his family does not find him in socials.
