GUGU GUMEDE’S DRAMATIC WEIGHT LOSS
The Uzalo actress Gugu Gumede recently took to her Instagram to share before and after photos and videos of her weight loss.
In the post, Gumede rocks a beautiful dress that she previously wore 10 months ago, when she was heavier.
The Citizen revealed in May that Gumede lost over 20kgs in two months. She said she opted for gastric sleeve surgery, a type of bariatric surgery for weight loss.
“I wanted to get the gastric sleeve because I wanted to limit the amount of food that I was eating. I wanted the portion control to be there.”
“I don’t want to say to people that surgery is the only option because we have different things going on in our lives, and we have different lifestyles,” she said.
The actress also revealed that she underwent surgery in January this year and is happy with the results.
