Kairo Forbes nominated for Nickelodeon award

Young Kairo Forbes, the daughter of DJ Zinhle and the late AKA (Kiernan Forbes), is proving to be a shining star in her own right. She has been nominated for the Favourite African Kids Influencer category at the prestigious Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, according to City Press.

Kairo Forbes is no stranger to recognition, having competed against Nigeria’s DJ Wysei, Boluwatife Balogun, and Dream Catchers Academy. Last October, she received the Social Media Kid Influencer Award at the SA Social Media Awards, which was a significant milestone for her. DJ Zinhle couldn’t be prouder of her accomplishments.

This comes as no surprise considering the cuteness overload in her Nedbank Chow Town Commercial, a fun platform that teaches financial management skills to young children. In December, Forbes took to social media to celebrate her collaboration with Rihanna for the multi-award-winning superstar’s sneaker collection, captioning the video of her kicks, “Bigger, bolder and phatter than ever! I’m happily living in my new Fenty x PUMA Creeper Phatty by Rihanna sneakers!

Immersed in a sea of love that every child her age craves, Kairo Forbes’ endearing nature, as eloquently portrayed by her grandmother Lynn Forbes, has inspired a multitude of social media updates from her adoring family.

Despite AKA’s passing, his daughter and Nadia Nakai continue to create cherished memories together, and AKA’s legacy lives on through the heartwarming content that is consistently shared.

Her dad, Murdah Bongz, affectionately referred to her as the highlight of his day, expressing gratitude for the effortless and loving bond they share. Forbes managed to touch the hearts of many when she couldn’t hold back her emotions while performing AKA’s hit Company, just seven months after her father’s passing.

Get ready for the 37th edition of Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards, happening on July 14th in the vibrant city of Los Angeles, USA. It remains to be seen whether AKA’s “Congratulate” will become the anthem in her honour.
