Kamo Mphela inspired by DJ Maphorisa’s ‘huge’ car collection [watch]

‘He has the craziest car collection’: Kamo Mphela opens up about her love for DJ Maphorisa’s fleet of vehicles.

South African dancer and singer Kamo Mphela in a clip posted on Instagram on Monday, 25 March shared that she is truly inspired by DJ Maphorisa’s car collection.

DJ Maphorisa — real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe became the topic of discussion when Kamogelo “Kamo Mphela” Matona revealed what inspired her love for cars. Mphela shared that the Amapiano disc jockey and well-known record producer has a fleet of cars in his yard as seen in a video shared on social media.

“What has influenced my love for cars or wanting a crazy car collection is actually DJ Maphorisa. I think he has the craziest car collection, especially with the Gushes. He really has like a huge collection of cars that people don’t even know about,” Mphela said.

The Ba Straata hitmaker was also reported by The Citizen to have a priceless car collection including an iconic BMW E30.

“Every time I pull up to his house for studio and all his cars are parked out there, it’s like Yoh! I also need to get myself a couple of whips. I think Phori has a good collection,” Mphela added in the clip.

Briefly also previously reported that the Abalele hitmaker does not have a car below a million rands. Some of the alleged cars the star owns include a beautiful blue BMW M4, a vintage BMW 325i sedan that costs over a million rand, and a Mercedes Benz AMG C63S, as well as a Mercedes Benz V Class which is estimated to be worth around R1.3 million.

In 2020, after purchasing a brand new BMW, DJ Maphorisa is said to have taken the new whip for a spin. He then called out Prince Kaybee, King Monada, and Kabza De Small for a drift challenge, TshisaLIVE reported.

“Just got my new M4. Now just tested the waters, [and we] all are good. PrinceKaybee, King Monada & ‪Kabza, I’m ready for u guys. ‪Sauta where must we host our first drifting event?” DJ Maphorisa was quoted as saying.

The Izolo hitmaker also previously hosted car spinning event. The PorryLand SpinFest took place at Mahem Raceway in Pretoria. Attendees were advised to get their tickets via computicket and no tickets were sold at the gate.
