While Itumeleng Khune may be one of Mzansi’s favourite soccer players, it’s evident his wife Sphelele is his number one fan and cheerleader.

And to celebrate the special woman in his life, the former Kaizer Chiefs shared a touching tribute on her birthday.

Itu and Sphelele tied the knot in a traditional wedding ceremony in 2019. They share daughters, Lesedi Ziyanda and Amogelang Zenande.

KHUNE DEDICATES SWEET POST TO HIS WIFE

In an Instagram Story, Itumeleng Khune shared a sweet birthday post to his wife.

It read: “Happiest birthdays to my partner in crime, my forever love, and my favourite cuddle partner.

“May your day be as cute and as lovely as you are.”

Itu and Sphelele began dating in mid-2019, shortly after his relationship with personal trainer Sbahle Mpisane ended. According to an IG Q&A session, Sphelele – who is almost ten years Itu’s junior – claimed they had “dated before.”

Just like their vows, Sphelele has stood by her soccer star husband in good and bad times during their relationship.

Sphelele also shut down recent criticism of Khune’s ex, Minnie Dlamini, and comparison to the media personality.
