Kim Cloete joins etvScandal

Kim Cloete, a multi-talented South African entertainer, has recently joined the cast of etvScandal. She is widely recognised for her performances in popular television shows like Binnelanders, Isidingo, and Wild at Heart.

The gifted actress presented for SABC3, M-Net, kykNET, Craz-e, and e.tv. Her SABC3 midday chat show LunchBox ran from 2008 to 2009.In addition, she hosted kykNET’s Zing! and Ontbytsake. She played “Billie” in Jacob’s Cross’s third season the same year. She played “Neema” in Wild at Heart’s third season on ITV UK. Colour was her 2011 SABC2 variety comedy show.

TvblogbyMLU has just confirmed that the talented actress is now part of the cast of etvScandal. How exciting! The actress with a sharp tongue will be taking on the role of Simone’s mother on the show.

Cloete and her husband are the masterminds behind Long Island TV, a successful production company. They’ve been churning out programmes like Stook!, a media review show that’s been on DStv’s Afrikaans music channel MK since 2004. In addition to the production company, she also happens to own some luxurious self-catering apartments in the trendy neighbourhoods of Melrose North and Rosebank. In 2010, she hopped on board the SABC2 sitcom Rasdien, playing the character “Alice”.

In 2014, she graced the small screen in the fourth season of the SABC2 drama 90 Plein Street, portraying the character “Charmaine”. In 2015, she decided to spice things up and joined the regular cast of the eleventh season of the kykNET soap opera Binnelanders. She took on the role of “Bronwyn” and brought her own unique charm to the show. She effortlessly carried on with her role for three consecutive seasons, and even made a triumphant return in the sixteenth season.

She was “Sulleen” in the 2016 kykNET police procedural Die Byl. The 2018 kykNET chat programme featured her as “Gas-deelnemer”. She played “Anne Matthews” in the first two seasons of kykNET drama Fynskrif the same year. She played “Patricia” in seasons 3 and 4 of the kykNET comedy documentary Hotel, “Cindy” in Die Spreeus, and “Olivia Wolfe” in Arendsvlei in 2019.

She played “Lana Bridgett” in Afgrond in 2021. Meanwhile, she played “Aneen” in Spoorloos’ third season.Besides television and film, she appeared in plays such as A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Dit Voel Leeg, Vaselinetjie, The Crucible, and Brothers in Blood.
