Kwaito legend Doc Shebeleza is reportedly in hospital

Kwaito legend and businessman Victor Bogopane who is famously known as Doc Shebeleza has been admitted to hospital.

Popular kwaito musician Doc Shebeleza reveals why he was recently hospitalised.

KWAITO STAR: ‘I HAD NO ENERGY’

Zimoja reports that the kwaito legend and businessman, Doc Shebeleza, real name Victor Bogopane was admitted to hospital on Sunday, 2 June after a health scare.

The 51-year-old musician was reportedly rushed to the hospital after becoming weak.

Bogopane tells Zimoja that he didn’t feel okay and had no energy. He personally went to the hospital, and they urgently admitted him.

He adds that doctors told him his veins are not serving his body properly.

The businessman and legendary kwaito artist however assures his fans that he will soon be discharged from hospital.

“I’m in good hands. Doctors are still running some tests. I hope and trust I will be out sooner,” he adds.

The publication adds that Bogopane will be checked by specialists this morning [Monday, 3 June] to see if his health scare is not something too serious.

The musician suspects fatigue because he’s been working nonstop and travelling a lot lately.

 

CASSPER CELEBRATES 10 YEARS OF ‘DOC SHEBELEZA’

Award-winning rapper Cassper Nyovest celebrated a decade since he dropped his hit song, Doc Shebeleza earlier this year.

The song which paid tribute to kwaito legend Doc Shebeleza was on Nyovest’s 2014 debut album, Tsholofelo.

“I was a wild young man. God has moulded me and kept me in his grace. All the glory to God. I’m blessed, grateful and truly humbled by your support,” said Nyovest on his social media.

“The next 10 years will be more meaningful, more spiritual and monumental! Die pope sal daans! This is gonna be special! Wait on it.”

The kwaito legend Victor Bogopane explains in an interview how Nyovest pitched the song, Doc Shebeleza to him in an interview with King David.

Doc Shebeleza tells David that Nyovest approached him and said: “Grootman, we made a song and would like you to approave it and listen to it.”

He told him: “I was interested in the lyrics. I listened to the song. This boy is singing about me. I told him, don’t worry. Go and record it. You don’t have to give me credit. It’s a hit.”
